Artist's Comments

The model in this picture is actually my boyfriend's mother, Shelly Corbin at age 8.

One night he brought in his family albums and wanted to see what I could do with a few pictures, this being one.

I did a few things with it, including a simple cut out making it look like the picture popped out...Shelly was tickled with it.

Trying to find a perfect gift for his mom on here isn't as easy as I thought it would be.

I decided to instead make a new picture that she hasn't seen yet with her favorite childhood picture of herself.

Here it is.

I got this wonderfully shot background from :iconpatronus-stock:

Finally, one christmas gift, done.complete.

Wonderful!! When i first scrolled down,( i view everything full view) i was like, this is going to be a snowy flower, then further i was pleasantly surpised! I even said "oh" out loud! This is great, i love the distinction between the colour in each photo. The old and new blended together as if from the roots, which makes it fitting that you know the person in the old picture.

Did you notice the front right shoe tip?
Should be a hint of the lavender from the flower as she is crossing the bw threshold.

In the final analysis, there is no "enemy". The enemy is OURSELVES, and the evil we desire for our "enemies" will therefore fall upon the real enemy, ourselves.
